Heritage Museum

One of our dream project is the establishment of a Heritage Museum for our college. Our college had a humble beginning in the year 1955 at a building constructed in the year 1917 by the Cochin State which later was used as District Livestock Farm office. The first two batches had their classes including practicals in that building. It is essential to showcase the history, legacy, achievements, the faculty, students and their contributions to the profession for the purpose of safeguarding such historical facts for the benefit of future generations. The evolution of Veterinary education in India has not been recorded so far and hence a museum of this nature will serve to showcase such records to the future generations of students, researchers, faculty and the public at large. It was in the year 1957 the new modern college building was inaugurated and slowly and steadily developed to the present stage. The contributions of our dedicated teachers, students, and researchers can be seen in the present day development of the college. But safeguarding such history in the form of a museum is absolutely essential to showcase the pace of development to the public. Lot of effort is required to collect such artefacts, photos, equipment, and to keep them as exhibits in an appropriate manner. Funds are being collected for this purpose and a genuine consultant is now consulted for the purpose.
